A: For on-site bookkeeping, one of our bookkeepers goes to work in your office. For off-site bookkeeping, we pick up documents from you and process it in our office. We then file returns when there are due and provide you financial reports.
Q: Which bookkeeping service should I use, on-site or off-site?
A: It depends. If you do not have office space or computer or software, off-site bookkeeping is definitely the best solution. On-site service is available only in Greater Toronto Area (GTA) but there is no geographic limitation for off-site service. Q: I am not in Toronto. Can I use your services?
A: No problem. Our off-site bookkeeping service is designed to serve clients all over Canada. Actually, not many of our clients ever come to our office. All you need to do is to gather paperwork together and give it to us. We take care of the rest. You choose whatever ways convenient to you to provide us paperwork:
- we can send our courier to pick it up from your office;
- you can upload it on our website;
- you can fax it to us;
- you can email it to us;
- you can mail it to us.
We are like a virtual accounting department of your business.
Q: Do you charge hourly rate or fixed monthly fee?
A: We charge fixed monthly fee. Many clients like it. It is easy for budgeting because you know exactly how much it will cost you. And more important, there is no surprise!
Q. Do I have to do it every month?
A. Not necessarily. You can do it monthly, quarterly, or whenever it is convenient to you. But you enjoy the maximum benefits when you do it regularly. Generally, monthly is a very good cycle. Most of our clients like it and we highly recommend it to you.
Q. I have an accountant already. Can I still use your service?
A. Sure, there is no conflict at all. You can use our bookkeeping service and retain your accountant to prepare your year-end statements and tax return. We will provide all necessary records and reports to your accountant. We are happy to answer any questions and assist your accountant to maximize the value of both our services and your accountant’s services. This also saves you time on answering accountants questions when he or she is doing your year-end. You know, sometimes, a lot of questions! This may be the ideal solution for you because many accountants don’t like and are not good at bookkeeping.
Q. I would like to do some bookkeeping tasks myself. Can I still use your service?
A. Yes, no problem. For example, some of our clients invoice their customers by themselves. We will do whatever tasks left. We will discuss an ideal solution to streamline the work.
Q. What about if I am audited by the government?
